The BIPOC Cultural Association of Northern Alberta is a vibrant and dynamic not-for-profit organization located in Northern Alberta, Canada. We are dedicated to celebrating and promoting the rich heritage, diversity, and contributions of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities in the region, while also welcoming and including members of other ethnicities.

Our organization is rooted in the belief that representation, inclusivity, and social equity are fundamental to building a thriving and harmonious community. We strive to create a safe and empowering space for individuals who identify as BIPOC, as well as those who support and value diversity and inclusivity, to come together, connect, and engage in meaningful cultural exchange.

Our mission is to foster understanding, appreciation, and respect for the rich cultural traditions, history, and contemporary experiences of BIPOC communities through various initiatives, including cultural events, workshops, educational programs, and advocacy efforts. We are committed to addressing social and systemic challenges faced by BIPOC individuals, promoting social justice, and empowering our members to become leaders and change-makers in their communities.

At the BIPOC Cultural Association of Northern Alberta, we are guided by the values of inclusivity, diversity, equity, respect, and empowerment. We welcome individuals from all walks of life, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status. We believe that our differences make us stronger and that embracing diversity is the key to building a vibrant and inclusive community where everyone feels valued and heard.

OUR Mission
The mission of the BIPOC Cultural Association of Northern Alberta is to promote and celebrate the diverse cultures, histories, and contributions of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) in Northern Alberta, Canada. Our not-for-profit organization aims to foster a sense of community and belonging among BIPOC individuals and allies through cultural events, educational programming, and advocacy initiatives. We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive space that amplifies BIPOC voices, challenges systemic barriers, and advances social justice. Through our efforts, we aspire to build a more equitable and culturally vibrant Northern Alberta for present and future generations.

We strive to foster empowerment, education, and representation, while promoting social justice, healing, and resilience. Through our collective efforts, we envision a future where BIPOC individuals and communities are recognized, respected, and supported in all aspects of life, creating a harmonious and equitable society for all.
